they support Labour.A new perspective on the Green Party. For too long they have continued to push the message that they are green - much like this watermelon.
...but just like this watermelon, they are entirely red on the inside.
But before we can look inside the watermelon we first have to look at the outside. Here we see that it represents what the Green party say that they stand for. They claim that they stand for the Environment, tackling climate change and making sure that our Carbon footprint does not grow. But then if we chop the Watermelon in half we see a totally different picture. Gone is the green image and suddenly we are confronted by a red inside. Yes, now we can really see who runs the Green party. It comes out from the day after election day to a few months before election day. Their dark red agenda comes out. It comes out as clear as you can see that the inside of a Watermelon is red. Lets look at a few instances of the Green Party and the Labour Party working together... 1. The Green Party's Sue Bradford introduced the anti-smacking bill to Parliament. Labour was very quick to pick this bill up as policy, and forced it's MPs to vote for it. 83% of New Zealanders were very vocal in opposing the bill, but the Green Party ignored this, and pushed ahead with this draconian law. Remember, it was around this time that the term "Nanny State" became a household word, as Joe Kiwi became increasingly frustrated at the arrogant Labour/Greens Government. 2. The Green Party strongly supported the Electoral Finance Bill so that the Government could have more control over the elections and what people could say against the Government. They ignored the Human Rights Commission when they declaimed the EFB as a breach of human rights. The Commission continues to speak out on Human rights issues and freedom of speech in other countries such as Fiji and Zimbabwe, while in their own country they turn their back on similar actions by the Government 3. The Green Party continues to push for further changes to industrial relation laws so that the Government can have more control over businesses. They push for more union power and for more restrictions on business so that the Government can control businesses both big and small. 4. And to the frustration of the people who voted them in, the Green Party continues to follow an agenda of social engineering, leaving less time to care for the Environment. The Green Party continues to support the Labour Government at the expense of the Environment. The amount of Carbon being released into the atmosphere continues to increase, more money is still being spent on roads rather than alternatives and the amount of trees being cut down is more than the amount being planted each year.
